What does this data set describe?

Title: Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map - 2002 Restudy
Abstract:
This dataset was created from the 2002 flood insurance restudy commissioned by FEMA resulting in the creation of flood insurance rate maps (FIRM) and a digital flood insurance rate map (DFIRM) for Clark County, Nevada.
Supplemental_Information:
This dataset will not be maintained. Modifications to the 100-year flood zones through Letters of Map Revision (LOMR) can be displayed using the current flood zone dataset called fzcur. Areas that have been removed or added to this original dataset by LOMR can be displayed using the dataset called lomr.

Why was the data set created?

This dataset can be used for the general mapping and feature identification of 100-year flood zones determined by a 2002 flood insurance restudy of Clark County, Nevada. This dataset represents 100-year flood zones as of September, 2002 but does not reflect changes to the 100-year flood zones through letter of map revisions after that date.
